English Language Department, as a subgroup of the General Groups, is located at medical school with 4 full time faculty members and 3 visiting instructors. The academic members all specialize in TEFL. They are also involved in research projects and publish their work at recognized national and international journals. Variety of Master’s thesis are also supervised by our faculty members. Besides, presenting English language programs, the department affords scientific translation services as well.

Since most of the references in medical sciences and textbooks are in English, a thorough knowledge of English is a must for the students of these fields. Students and researchers need to learn English, not only because it is the means of teaching and learning, but also because it is essential for research activities. |
In this regard, English language Department intends to equip the students of medical sciences with such knowledge through offering prerequisite, general and specialized English courses to students of all disciplines at HUMS.
